Program Graduate Debbie Dannemeyer was recently promoted from Ambulatory Nurse Executive to Assistant Medical Group Administrator, a VP position for the Orange County Kaiser Permanente Medical Center.

Kaiser Permanente, Orange County serves over 500,000 members, and is part of the larger Kaiser Permanente Health Plan, serving over 9 million members.

“I am responsible for the departments of Employee Health (serving over 6000 employees), Staff Education, Physician Education, Patient/Member Education, Clinical Strategic Goals, and Population Care Management. I am also responsible for Cancer Care Coordination, Clinical Strategic Goals performance, and Ambulatory Patient Safety.” – Debbie

Graduate Sophia Szeto has been promoted to Hematology Supervisor

Graduate Sophia Szeto has been promoted to Hematology Supervisor

Program Graduate Sophia Szeto assumed the role of Hematology Supervisor at CALM (Center for Advanced Laboratory Medicine) on October 25, 2015. In her new role as supervisor, she oversees hematology, special hematology, coagulation, and special coagulation. She has worked at UC San Diego Health since November of 2006 when she started as a generalist in the Rapid Response Laboratory at La Jolla. She served as assistant to the hematology Sr. Specialist there before she was promoted to chemistry senior specialist in June of 2013. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Guangzhou Medical University in China and her Master’s Degree in the Leadership of Healthcare Organizations from UC San Diego spring 2012. She is a California licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist. In her free time, Sophia enjoys reading, biking with her children, and traveling.
