Anya Umlauf, MS graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a master’s in Statistics. Anya is currently a statistician for HIV Neurobehavioral Research Program (HNRP) at the University of California, San Diego, and collaborates with US and international researchers on studying genetic, neurovirologic, neurobiologic, neuromedical, neurobehavioral, and neuroimaging data. In her role as a statistician, she assists HNRP researchers and trainees with all aspects of designing and implementing medical and behavioral studies, including preparation of grant applications, statistical analyses of the data, interpretation of the results, and publishing those results in scientific journals. Ms. Umlauf has been teaching statistics since 2007.
